Styles from casual chic to bohemian filled the streets of this inspiring celebration. Jeans were on the scene flanking the bottom half of men throughout Artwalk. Many chose to keep it classic and top their denim off with a simple black pocket tee and beanie.
Others went for the new grunge look of plaid over a tee-shirt. And even though the temperatures were rather warm, we saw some men decide to finish off their sturdy slacks with a leather bomber jacket.
Shoes on the men ranged from funky flight boots in a splash of colors, to the always apropos black Converse All-Stars. Ladies chose to outfit their feet in more traditional simple flats or low wedge heels. Pumps were not in attendance for the most part. The girls glammed up their jeans with sweaters, off-the shoulder shirts, and embroidered linen tops. Although neutral seemed to steal the show as the color of the night in outerwear, some women mixed and matched sporty trench coats with indi dresses that stopped tastefully just above the knee.
Clubwear was decorating many of the artists themselves. From tie-dye tee shirts to accessories like beads, caps and scarves, men displayed an eclectic choice of fashion everywhere you went. Ladies preferred to emphasize their ensembles with trendy handbags and most opted for the contemporary oversized purses. Buckles and snaps shimmered and shined from the shoulders of most women at the showing.
Special thanks to Aline Media for inviting us to their fabulous Fashion/Art event.
